Sounds Like Home (Bath)

Sounds Like Home is a series of cultural nights bringing music, stories, and people together. Each event focuses on a different country, creating space to experience culture in a way that feels real, lived, and shared.

Hosted at Fairfield House in Bath, the series invites artists and audiences into an intimate setting where sound, memory, and identity meet. It’s about listening, connecting, and getting a feel for what “home” can mean in different parts of the world.

Between October 2025 and April 2026, we have curate a number of events including

Rhythmes of the Nile 

A warm evening centred on Sudanese culture—live music, cultural displays, and food, featuring artists  Mo Omballi and Nashat.

Sounds and Stories form Iran 

Created with the Vilk Collective, this night brings together music and film to explore Iranian culture.
Atmospheric, thoughtful, and immersive—offering a different way into the sounds and stories of Iran.

A Night for Palestine

An evening of poetry, music, and reflection featuring Atef Alshaer and artist Joud.
Grounded in storytelling and presence, this night holds space for culture, identity, and expression.

Special Edition – Curious Minds Festival

 A panel discussion on Sudan: Voices, Advocacy & Cultural Memory, featuring Yassmin Abdel-Magied, Elbashir Idris, Naomi Pendle & Tasnim Abdelmagid

A conversation around Sudan—its stories, its complexities, and the role culture plays in shaping how it’s understood and remembered.
